Bright Spots

We had kids and it’s the most thrilling thing I’ve ever done. Our home is chaotic, tiring, and loud, and also mesmerizing. Life is now cast in stunningly high contrast. The framing light bursting in from the window creates unexpectedly simple compositions revealing a profound sense of clarity, balance, and strength. In this ongoing project I’m documenting what it’s like for us in these years of parenting young kids, in New Hampshire and then in New York, where our home is like a stage and the performance never ends but I hear they do grow up, eventually.
